Going Nowhere

"Slumps" was another possible title for this post, but I couldn't find a photo to match. This view out the window of the London overground might better suit "Getting Offtrack," if it didn't feel too on the nose.

As you can see, I'm also severely dis"track"ted!

This isn't a personal blog, but of course I have a personal life. And everything seems to be piling up: the new job, kids' stuff, bills. All good motivation to keep moving, to not get stuck. Why does it never seem to work that way?

My commitment to myself was to post at least one book review a week and at least one writing journey update a month, and to do something with social media a couple of times a week. Plus finish the revision, get feedback on my query letter, make a third run at my synopsis. Slumps all round.

I don't suppose wallowing in it is going to help me climb out. This post may only reach Future Me, in future slumps, to assure myself I got out of this one and will be able to get out of the next one.

Shake it off, Present Me! Forward to the book review!
